In between the lines of this page I inscribe my own reality. Where you are still alive and mom no longer cries her self to sleep at night. Where she doesn’t have to catch herself when she so routinely utters your name, like she did just the other day. In the life span of these sentences you are here, holding my hand, stroking my hair and smiling as I lie in your lap, listening proudly as I go on and on about college life and my plans for graduation.

Fly Like Paper Cranes

I'm obsessed with all things birds, so I decided to learn how to make paper cranes. Turns out it's pretty easy. I plan on getting some origami paper so I can make tons more to hang all over my room. (how hipster of me right?) I also wanna bring back some Christmas lights from home to hang up over my bed. (again so very hipster) Anyways I think they look pretty cool. Sorry the pics are so dark.

A while back I wrote a poem about paper cranes and I thought I'd share it with you guys, It's called Origami.

Origami

you took me in your hands and molded me
fold by fold you brought me to life
you gave me wings and
through me towards the sky
by day I soar amongst the clouds
and at night you hang me from the stars
and watch me twinkle in the twilight
and there I dangle and dance in praise
with my paper crane neck arched upwards
in total admiration

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly

you need a cape that
matches mine, and together
we can save the world

seeds

be careful what you
plant, seeds of lust will never
produce buds of love

Fall

he stood tall over the yard
and watched as the pieces of his heart
fell down and covered the grass
he bent over in mournig
as each colorful tear
fell from his eyes

One day he saw a young boy
gather his tears together in one big pile
he stood erect as the child
jumped into the pile with
the biggest smile on his face

he realized at that moment that his pain
was purposed for someone eleses pleasure
and in that he found happiness

Lust For Life

An Unchanging Love

the world is cyclic
the seasons always change, but
God is my constant
