Frank Ocean Show in Dallas

sloppy last minute paint job, channeling orange.
I prayed and I prayed and God answered me with some last minutes tickets to Frank's show in Dallas. Saying it was amazing would be an understatement. We had to push our way through crazy traffic, then we had to push our way through the crazy line outside the building, then we had to wait for over an hour, but once Frank came out nothing else mattered. (no pun intended) We found our selves in the middle of the crowd and to me that was the perfect place, because we were at the center of all the emotion and the inexplicable vibe that possessed the crowd. His presence, his voice, his pain, his amazing performance made me fall more in love with him as if I didn't adore him enough. I heard someone say that he <s>was<s> is magic and I think that that is the best way to describe it, to describe him. Thanks Frank for an inspiring, dare I say life changing, show!

Update

Here's a video Kevin Hart posted of his surprise appereances during opening weekend. I really respect his love for his fans. If I wasn't already a huge fan of his I am defiantly one now.

The rest of the week was filled with lots of friends, fellowship, and food. None of which I have pictures of. Overall it was a great weekend!!!

Miracle Light

Wow, this story is amazing!!!

Newborn baby found alive in morgue 12 hours after being declared dead
A newborn in Argentina was found very much alive in a morgue by her mother 12 hours after hospital staff had declared the baby dead.

The mother, Analia Bouguet, tells TeleNoticias TV that the hospital still has issued her only a death certificate for the infant rather than a birth certificate. Bouguet said she is planning to pursue a medical malpractice suit.

The Daily Mail reports that the baby was Bouguet's fifth and was born prematurely.
Two hours after being issue a death certificate, Bouguet and her husband visited the morgue because they wanted to see their child one more time.

"The baby was there and they put the little casket on a stretcher. We looked for a bar to pry it open," the baby's father, Fabian Veron, said in a press conference. "My wife looked and uncovered it slowly. She saw the little hand and then uncovered the face. That's when it let the first little cry out."

"That night, we went to the morgue. We wanted to take a photo of our daughter," Bouguet told Argentina's Clarin newspaper. "But when a worker opened the drawer, we heard a cry and she was alive."

The newborn has been named Luz Milagros, or "Miracle Light." She is still listed as being in critical condition but is said to be improving. The deputy provincial health minister announced that five medical professionals involved in the case have been suspended, pending further investigation.

"At the moment we have no explanation," hospital director Jose Luis Meirino told the paper. "The baby was attended to by obstetricians, gynecologists and a neonatologist. They all reached the same conclusion, that this girl was stillborn."

There was this kid dj'ing at the event and saying he was talented just doesn't do him justice.

Easter

Easter weekend was more than amazing. Friday we attended a barbecue that full of laughter and good times. On Sunday I went with my friend to this cool little get together/dinner. People from all over the world was there and I got to try a lot of food from various sides of the earth. Later we also went to the backyard to make ice cream on old wooden ice cream maker, when I say that it made my day to do that.... you guys have no idea. It took back to my childhood. Anyway after dinner we went to church and I got to see a lot of my friends get baptized it was a powerful night. All in all, even though I didn't get to be with family, it was one of the greatest days ever. Glory Be!

Today

Today after class I went to the park with one of my friends. It was beautiful out and I had a good time just being out and enjoying the weather. I'm glad that I'm here and not at home in Dallas, I would have been so scared with all the tornadoes that touched down last night. Thank God that all my family is safe a sound. I had a great time but then I had to come home and get myself ready to say goodbye to on of my favorite show...
In my mind my adolescence ended with the final scene of tonight's finale. I started watching this show when it premiered in 2003, I was 13 and in the 8th grade. Now I am 22 and am about to graduate college in a little over a month or so. This show has been a part of my life for a long time and I have invested in every character and in every storyline. The show has taught me valuable lessons and has helped me get through some very hard times in my life. Mere words can not express all that this show means to me. It has shaped me and in many ways and shown me that I am perfect just the way that I am and that my existence matters. More importantly it has shown me that love exists and that I deserve to be loved. I could go on for days and days but again, no words could sum up the impact this show has had on me. It was hard to see it go but in a sense it was necessary. The finale was perfect, I couldn't have asked for anything greater. You can tell that the cast and crew really considered the fans in filming the last episode and that it why OTH has always delivered and that is why it will always have a piece of my heart. So thanks to the cast and crew of OTH I am forever grateful to all of you.

Always & Forever xoxoxox!

Think Like A Woman

*phot taken from Kevin's twitter page
This was the scene the other day when the cast of  "Think Like A Man" came to the AUC. Sadly I didn't make it their till my class was over and when I walked up they were leaving. I did see Gabrielle Union though and she is just as gorgeous as she is on screen, and she seems so humble and down to earth. From the little that I did see it was a good time. I can't wait to see the movie on April 20th.

Justice For Trayvon: The Atlanta Rally For Justice

I'm still on a spiritual high from yesterday's rally at the Atlanta Capitol Building. Looking around and seeing all the faces of people who were fed up and ready to shake things up inspired me to no end. What really got me was when I saw a kid with a hoodie holding a sign that said "Am I Next" and in that moment I pictured my nephews and what society things of them. I though about how they love walking around the neighborhood and how it's nothing for them to get up throw on a hoodie and walk to the store for some candy and tea. I thought about all things and prejudices they will face growing up in a society that devalues them. Digesting it all brought tears to my eyes.

I was also inspired by the diversity within the crowd. It was definitely a majority of black people but there were white people, Latino people, and other people from various walks of life who were genuinely angered by the blatant injustice of the whole situation. Throughout the night the presence of the Lord was definitely there. When the entire crowed bowed there heads to sing and pray I began to cry again. God's presence was heavy.

Overall I think it was successful in uniting the people behind a common cause and helping others see what we've been seeing all our lives. I feel that this case is definitely a "Rosa Parks" situation for our generation, the spark that exposes the problem that America has swept under the rug for so long. I just hope that it doesn't stop here, we have to prepare ourselves for the long haul.

Although I look terrible in this pic, you can definitely tell how angry I was. This was after I had my whole revelation about the case.

Count Your Blessings

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?

Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?

Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,

And you will be singing as the days go by.

Life: SGA Debates & Obama Rally

My friend is such a paparazzi.
My friend, Michael Eric Dyson, & I.

Janelle Monae & Keshia Knight Pulliam were also on the panel.
me & my paparazzi friend, they say the only way to beat 'em is to join 'em sooooo...
A while back we had to decide rather to go to the Obama rally at Clark or the Spelman SGA debates, we decided to go to both. Honestly I only went to the rally to see my girl Janelle Monae, who I still have yet to get a picture with. I've seen her twice and have no proof of it, I still in my emotions about it. She dipped so fast but Dyson and Pulliam stayed for a while and took pictures with the crowd. Overall it was a great experience. The SGA debates was the usual coonery that it always is. As the year comes to a close every event I go to with my friends is bittersweet. I'm really gonn miss the good ol' AUC.

All in all we waited for about three & half hours can you tell how tired I looked? My friend kept trying take pictures & what not but I wasn't having any of that I was tired and ret to go. I can't believe we're taking senior pics it feels like we were just in freshman orientation, how the time flies.

Valentine's Day

Today I got the best Valentine's Day gift ever, my tuition was paid. Praise Him. God really showed me How much he loved me today, to Him be the glory. May 20th here I come.

Here's what else I did today:
Wore my favorite shirt, got it overseas, it says One Love in Arabic. Had classes all day. One of my professors brought us Ferrero Rocher chocolates, which I had never tasted. Had dinner with friends. Had a movie night where we watched The Body Guard. *tear*  Filled out an application. In between all of this I listened to the In The Heights soundtrack, probably because I am in love with Lin-Manueal Miranda. (look him up) Now I'm about to watch the Valentine's Day episode of New Girl, sip some tea, and go to bed.

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!!
